Pricing Guide

We believe homeowners should have a general idea of pricing before reaching out. While every project is different, this page provides a realistic starting point and explains the factors that affect cost.

If you’re looking for ballpark numbers and clear expectations, you’re in the right place.

Fence Repair Prices

Fence repair pricing is based on the type of repair, materials required, and the condition of the existing fence. The pricing below reflects common wood fence repairs for standard 4-foot and 6-foot tall wood fences. Pricing for 4-foot and 6-foot repairs is the same.

Custom fence styles and manufactured fencing repairs may require individual quotes.

Repair Minimum

Minimum repair charge: $250
This includes labor and standard materials.

Wood Post Replacement

A common repair when a wood post is rotted, cracked, or leaning, but the adjacent fence sections are still in usable condition.

  • Replace one standard 8-foot treated 4x4 line post (not adjacent to a gate): $250

  • Each additional post replacement: $150 per post, up to a maximum of 10 posts

  • Haul away and disposal of old rotten posts and concrete plugs

If more than 10 posts need replacement, we typically recommend replacing the fence rather than continuing with repairs.

Manufactured Fences
(Vinyl & Aluminum)

For vinyl, aluminum, or other manufactured fencing:

  • Homeowners must provide manufacturer name and fence style before scheduling

  • Repairs depend on material availability and lead time

If manufacturer information is unavailable, we cannot perform repairs on manufactured fencing.

Please note: Manufactured fence repairs may not be an exact visual match due to weathering and fading over time.

Panel/Section Replacement

Used when wood fence posts are in good condition, but a panel or section is damaged.

  • Replace one panel/section (reuse existing posts): $350

  • Each additional section: $275 per section, up to a maximum of 10 sections

  • Haul away and disposal of the old damaged section

If more than 10 sections need replacement, a full fence replacement is usually the more practical option.

Custom Fence Styles

Repairs involving custom or decorative fence styles require individual pricing.

Examples include:

  • Gothic or decorative posts and pickets

  • Scalloped, arched, or rolling tops

  • Flat cap or lattice top fences

These styles require additional labor and materials that vary by design.

Wood Post & Panel Replacement

Required when both the post and the adjacent fence section are unusable.

  • Replace one wood post and one wood panel: $475

If multiple posts and panels require replacement, we will provide a custom quote or recommend replacing the fence if repairs are extensive.

When Repair May Not Make Sense

In cases where damage is widespread or structural issues affect a large portion of the fence, we may recommend a full replacement rather than continued repairs.

We’ll always explain why and help you understand your options.

Gate Repairs & Replacement Prices

Single Gate Replacement

When a gate no longer opens or closes properly, the hinge post typically needs to be replaced to ensure long-term performance.

  • Replace one single gate, including haul-away of the old gate

  • Includes replacement of hinge post with a 4x6 or 6x6 post

Cost: $975

Double Gate Replacement

Double gates are used to create wider access for trailers, mowers, or vehicles.

  • Replace double gate up to a 10-foot-wide opening

  • Includes haul-away of old gates

  • Both hinge posts replaced with 6x6 posts

Cost: $1,500

For openings wider than 10 feet, we recommend a welded metal frame gate. Pricing for wider or specialty gates is quoted individually.

New Fence Installation Prices

New fence installations are priced based on total scope and site conditions.

Minimum new fence installation: $3,000
This includes labor and materials.

Factors that affect new fence pricing include:

• Total linear footage
• Fence material and style
• Current material costs
• Gate quantity and size
• Access to the property

Projects with custom layouts, limited access, or complex conditions require an on-site evaluation.

We believe homeowners should have a realistic sense of pricing before reaching out. While every property and project is different, the ranges below reflect common fence styles and typical installed pricing based on recent projects.

All pricing shown is per linear foot and includes labor and standard materials.

Most Common Fence Styles & Price Ranges

  • Standard aluminum fencing is available in black. Other color options are available but must be quoted individually and may add cost.

Aluminum fencing is available in 4-, 5-, and 6-foot heights.

    Standard 3-Rail Aluminum Fence
$38–42 per linear foot installed (4-foot height)

    Spear Top Aluminum Fence
$40–44 per linear foot installed (4-foot height)

  • Vinyl privacy fencing is available in white, brown, and grey at a 6-foot height.

    • Brown and grey options add additional cost

    • Vinyl fence pricing varies by manufacturer and availability

    Vinyl Privacy Fence
    $55–65 per linear foot installed

  • For all new wood fence installations, we exclusively use cedar pickets. We’ve made this choice due to the inconsistent quality and reliability of currently available pressure-treated pickets. Cedar provides better durability, appearance, and long-term performance.

All new fence installations over 150 linear feet include one 4-foot walk gate. Additional walk gates or double drive gates are priced separately based on the project.

    Standard Privacy Fence
    $35–39 per linear foot installed

Privacy Fence with Flat Top Cap
    $37–41 per linear foot installed

    Shadow Box Privacy Fence
    $42–47 per linear foot installed

    Horizontal Picket Fence
    $35–40 per linear foot installed

    Horizontal Board-on-Board Fence
    $42–47 per linear foot installed

    Spaced Picket Fence
(Most common for 4-foot tall fences)
    $34–37 per linear foot installed

    Kentucky Board (Horse Fence)
Available with wire, 3 or 4 board styles, and 4- or 5-foot heights
    $30–34 per linear foot installed

    Kentucky Board – Crossbuck Style
    $32–37 per linear foot installed

    Split Rail Fence
    With or without wire
    $27–32 per linear foot installed

Deck Steps, Railings & Small Deck Projects Prices

Deck-related projects vary widely based on design and materials, so pricing is handled on a job-by-job basis.

Pricing is influenced by:

  • Step design and height

  • Railing materials and layout

  • Existing structural conditions

  • Customization and finish selections

Because of the number of variables involved, we do not list standard pricing for deck steps or railings.

What Affects Pricing on Any Project

Across all services, pricing may be affected by:

  • Access to the work area
Limited access for equipment, parking restrictions, or overgrown landscaping can increase labor time.

  • Overall site conditions
Existing or multiple old fences, large mature trees, narrow spaces between structures, or heavily landscaped areas may require additional labor and protection.

  • Material availability and pricing
Material costs can fluctuate based on market conditions.

  • Custom or non-standard work
Unique designs, specialty materials, or complex installations require individual pricing.

What We Don’t Price Online

Some projects need to be evaluated in person to ensure accuracy.
This includes:

  • Custom fence designs

  • Projects with difficult or restricted access

  • Complex repairs

  • Non-standard materials or layouts

Providing an accurate estimate upfront helps avoid surprises later.

A Note on Value

Our pricing reflects:

  • Proper post setting and installation methods

  • Permits and utility coordination

  • Quality materials

  • Professional workmanship

We focus on doing the job correctly the first time, not cutting corners to be the lowest price.
